to Phantom Creek Ranch, breeders of foundation bred fox trotting horses. Our goal is to produce quality horses, suited for general pleasure riding, mountain riding and as good family mounts. We are specifically looking to raise horses that are hardy, have a naturally smooth fox trot, a quiet disposition and good conformation. We have owned Fox Trotters for over 20 years, during that time we have ridden several different styles, sizes and shapes of horses. Using this experience, we have begun a breeding program we believe will produce just those kind of horses. We have been lucky enough to find a few mares with Golden Governor, Danney Joe and other old time bloodlines. We have decided to specialize in preserving these older style horses and bloodlines. We feel these horses make the best and most versatile pleasure horses. After all, that is what they were originally bred for.
Check out our stallion, Cindy's Royal Sun. We have some video of Sunny and Mike bareback and with a halter riding in the snow. Sunny's fox trot is just great! I'm afraid some of our other horses are getting left in the barn, Sunny is soo much fun to ride!
New! We have a new trail rides page with pictures and slideshows of some of the rides we have been on over the years.
See our mares page for more details on the mares or the sale page for information on horses for sale. We also have a sold page so you can see what we have offered and how they are doing in their new homes!
New Arrivals!
We have two palomino colts born last May. Neither have been gelded yet but that should be happening this November. So if you are thinking of a stud prospect, don't wait too long.
Phantom Creek's Diamond Duke was born mid May by Sunny and out of Duke's Easter Babe. He is well balanced, gaity and sweet. Not to mention that he got his dad's golden palomino color! This is one nice colt!
$1100
These two by Cindy's Royal Sun's are now long yearlings so check out their pages for new pictures.
Goldie's Royal Chance, the palomino colt, is exceeding all expectations. Chance took first place in the MSFTA inhand trail class last June. This colt should make a great riding horse.
$2000
The Sorrel sabino is Sunny's Fire Lily, the first foal for Cheap Sunglasses', AKA Princess. Her flashy markings add to her out going personality. Lily also showed in the inhand trail class, placing third.
$2200
SOLDBabe is a direct daughter Duke the Commander, a direct son of Danny Joe W out of a daughter of Golden Governor. Duke passed on at the age of 34. There won't be any more like Babe. She would be a great addition to a breeding program or with some saddle time she should make a good riding horse.
Babe had a palomino colt last May, Phantom Creek's Diamond Duke. We are very pleased with this cross and could offer a package deal by breeding her back to Sunny.
8 yrs old about 15H
SOLD $3000 SOLD Thanks Cathy!
