Rose's Duchess

My 12 year old daughter Kelly trained her for her first show as a yearling. She placed in the halter class and took second in the in-hand trail. Not bad for two weeks of work! Several people commented on how quiet she is. She has since been to other shows and never fails to impress with her quiet friendly ways.

We started her under saddle as a three year old. She has done wonderfully! On her first group trail ride, she earned the "best behaved horse" award. No one could believe she was just 3.

She now is a seasoned trail horse having even been camping. She has a nice flat walk and fox trot. riding her in the mountains is a treat, she can really handle steep terrain and loves to get out on the trail. She spent a few weeks on a cattle ranch working cows. We later went to a clinic where we got to play with the cows, she is better at it than I am! Duchess is what foundation bred fox trotters are all about.
